My Thundercats story

    • Intro to the book
      Thundercats-Brittany Walker

A young 12-year-old girl is walking through woods she has known all her life on First Earth. She is from a rich family, and so has not needed to learn ow to take care of herself. Suddenly, the scenery around her changes. Her small, familiar woods by the city she has lived in all her life have become a large unfamiliar forest. This, or course, is Third Earth. Being from the city, the girl does not know how to take care of herself in the woods. She realizes this, becomes very frightened, and starts crying.
Nearby, Cheetara is out on her morning run. She hears the young girl crying and seeks her out. Hearing the girl's story, she resolves to take the girl, whose name is Brittany Walker, back to Cat's Lair.
In the Cat's Lair, Lion-o hears out Brittany's story. Cheetara takes her to her room that they have designated for her. Then, the Thundercats vote to find a way to get her back to her home. In the meantime, she is their ward.
As time goes on, the Thundercats teach Brittany all they know; how to survive in the wild, how to fight, and academics. Through this all, Brittany becomes one of them in soul, a part of their "family." But Brittany is something of a pacifist; she hates to fight. At first, she refuses to learn to fight. But, after being badly wounded while caught in a battle between the Mutants and the Thundercats, she reluctantly consents.

  1. Part 2-wasn't meant to go yet!
Her mentors in the different areas of her learning are as follows:
    1. Panthro: He teaches her how to fight as well as a bit of mechanical knowledge.
    2. Cheetara: She teaches Brittany gymnastics, how to use the staff, and how to run properly. Brittany, in turn, becomes nearly as fast as Cheetara herself.
    3. Wilykit and Wilykat: They teach Brittany the art of cunning.
    4. Tygra: He teaches Brittany academics.
    5. Snarf: He teaches Brittany domestic skills, such as cleaning the Cat's Lair, washing dishes, laundry, etc.
    6. Bengali: He teaches Brittany some blacksmithing.
    7. Pumya: She teaches Brittany the art of healing.
    8. Lynx-o: When Brittany is blinded in an industrial accident, the Thundercats are not sure whether her blindness is temporary or permanent. Lynx-o teaches her Braille and how to sharpen her other senses.
    9. Lion-o: He teaches Brittany that because she is young she is the future. Thus, he teaches her the importance of youth. He does this in subtle ways through her growing up with the aid of wise Jaga.

The Thundercats cannot determine what brought Brittany to Third Earth, nor, for four years, can they find a way to get her back to her home on First Earth.
Mumm-Rana turns out to be the one who brought Brittany to Third Earth, She reveals that the method through which she and Mumm-Ra are everliving is that they take new bodies when their own die. In her case, her hosts have to agree to the transfer. They keep their own personalities while also taking her knowledge. But Mumm-Ra just takes a host, thus showing a major difference among many between himself and Mumm-Rana. Gratefully, they only have to go through this process once every ten-thousand years. She brought Brittany to Third Earth for this purpose, but the girl had to grow up and Mumm-Rana chose the Thundercats for this task. But she did not tell them, fearing they would become angry or refuse.

  2. One day, fate takes a turn in Brittany's life. She goes moutnain climbing with Lion-o and falls. She breaks her neck on impact, but she does live. However, she is now paralyzed. Becoming depressed, she locks herself away in her room.
Later, while on a trip in space, Panthro and Cheetara find a time warp in the asteroid belt. They go through this time warp, and when they come out the other side, they find themselves in the twenty-fifth century of First Earth. Greatly surprised, they find a bionics scientist who has perfected the method of bionicizing people, but cannot find a willing volunteer. Panthro tells him of Brittany, and Doctor Talsa explains that he could make her able to move again.
Panthro and Cheetara go back to Third Earth to get Brittany, who is overjoyed at the news that she will be able to move again, and DOctor Talsa is able to fulfill his promise.
With the time warp, Brittany now has the option of either staying on Third Earth with the Thundercats or going home. It is a very difficul decision, as she wishes to see her people again, but has come to love the Thundercats as her family. Panthro state that he can make it possible that she can travel back and forth. however, she must wear a bionic unit. Without this, she cannot move. To disguise her bionic unit, Doctor Talsa makes it in the form of a braided bracelet.
Later, Lion-o states that he wishes her to return home at least long enough to complete her formal education, which is still at grade level 7. But she feels she is not ready to return to First Earth, so she returns to Third Earth instead.
Three years later, she is still learning from the Thundercats. But she wanders into the Cave of Time accidentally while alone and ages rapidly. Lion-o is alerted by the Sword of Omens, and tells Cheetara, who rescues Brittany. She is then taken to the Geyser of Life, where she is rejuvenated back to her normal age of 19.
Tygra has been through this experience before. THis occurred when the Thundercats first came to Third Earth, so he sympathizes with Brittany. He knows how terrifying an experience it is.
Two years later, at age 21, Brittany has learned all she can from the Thundercats and wishes to return to First Earth. She again uses the Geyser of Life to return her to the age she left-12. However, the Thundercats have one last surprise in store for her-they wish her to become a Thundercat herself. However, because she is human and not Thunderian, they require her to undergo the trials, She does succeed in passing her trials, just as Lion-o did years before.
She returns to First Earth to complete her training, but visits the Thundercats whenever she can in the ship Panthro has built for her, which she has called "The America" for her country.
The ship is designed to appear an ordinary private jet, but has space and time warp capabilities. When on First Earth, it is kep in a private hanger near her home.

  3. Brittany Walker-profile
Brittany has become a brave young woman. But she still clings tightly to those who saved her as a young girl, namely the Thundercats. With her ship, she travels through space quite a bit, as well as time. She has met many new friends in her travels, but has not aged a day since she was taken to the Geyser of Life. Later, it is found that with her Human physiology and bionics, the Geyser has given her the benefit of eternal youth.
Brittany has also discovered that her bionics have not only enabled her to move, but have also given her other powers as well. There are:
    1. super speed
    2. flight
    3. healing powers, not only for others, but also for herslef. She has found that when she is injured she only needs to go into a trance and her healing system takes over.

  4. However, she cannot use these powers for an extended amount of time. Otherwise, her bions will be depleted and she beomces unconscious for a day or so, or if she really overdoes it, she could die.
Added to these powers, she is also telepathic and empathic. (She has always had a high esper rating, but her bionics have enhanced these abilities.)
Also, it has been found that her bionics have made her a spirit of music, that is, she cannot live without music, sometimes singing along with it, or merely just singing or humming on e of her favorite tunes. Of course, she is also an expert on who sings what!
She claims herself to be a pacifist who only wants peace and a normal life, but if any of her friends or family is threatened, you can be sure she'll fight like a lioness! As to why she hates to fight, she says "I hate to see people hurt."
Later in her life, she comes to hate her eternal youth because while she stays young, her friends and family gorw old and die. She states, "Eternal youth is a very lonely life. You can be surrounded by friends and still be alone, for you know they will eventually die, leaving you alone."
She has been widowed four times, and finally returns to Third Earth. A few years later she marries the one person she never expected to marry: Lion-o!
Her first four husbands are as follows:
    1. David Karthow: a twentieth century mechanic who lost his life at work. She met him while she was still in school. They had 4 children, two sons and two daughters. A tractor on a faulty hydrolift fell on him. He was 27 years old.
    2. Michael Sable: an eighteenth century mountain man. She met him through a very unfortunate incident. When Mumm-Ra had the Mutants ambush her while she was alone, she was wounded veyr badly, although she took down quite a few of them with her. Mumm-Ra erased her memory and sent her to early America. She fell in love and married Michael before she regained her memory. They had one son. Michael was killed by Indians who had a grudge against his family because his grandfather had killed their chief. He was 35 years old.
    3. William Crites: a twenty-fifth century space explorer. She met him while on her travels. They had one son and one daughter. He died of old age and was 87 years old.
    4. Somel Marlow: a twenty-sixth century computer company owner. He hired Brittany shortly after Michael died. They had one son and daughter as well. He, like Michael, died of old age. He was 114 years old.

    Brittany's children are as follows:
    1. Those of David: These were quadruplets, her first children. Their names are David, Daniel, Jessica, and Jennifer. They were still in college when Brittany left them.
    2. That of Michael: His name is Son. He was fifteen when she finally left him.
    3. Those of William: these were twins. Her son's name is Michael and her daughter's name is June. June was 40 years old and married when Brittany left. June has a son named Kithal and a husband named Kathal Davis. Michael was killed in a fight when he was 27 years old.
    4. Those of Somel: These were also twins. Brittany's son is named Stamel and her daughter's name is Tani. They had both married, but when his wife Takarra was pregnant with Stamel's daughter Tasale, Stamel was killed in a fire when he was 37 years old. Tani married a young man named Stalel when she was twenty years old and they had a daughter named Takala.

Lion-o and Brittany have had four children as or yet; one son and three daughters. Their names are:
    1. Sha'nell
    2. Shay'isha
    3. Trisha
    4. Mara

Sha'nell is the oldest; he is fifteen years old. Shay'isha is twelve years old, and Trisha is ten years old. And last, but certainly not least, is young Mara, who is eight years old.
